As did Lacan.<br /><br />On that score, I commend a novel to you by Tom McCarthy, a young British writer, entitled "Remainder".<br /><br />It's technically more about re-enactment, neurotic repetition. And shares some thematic similarities to the late great Philip Seymour Hoffman's star turn in Charlie Kaufman's "Synecdoche, New York" movie.<br /><br />If you have time to waste, I did a longish 3-post serial post comparing the two pieces.
